The Belvedere Tandoori was established in 1983. Nurul, the Head Chef and owner has been in the catering industry for over 50 years, having opened one of the first Indian restaurants in the South East of England in the 60's!
His passion and experience of Asian food led him to open Belvedere Tandoori. The vision was pretty simple: provide the finest curry in the area with the best ingredients available "consistently".
This is why at Belvedere Tandoori we only use fresh chicken breast fillets from chicken that are no older than 6-7 weeks old (this keeps the chicken tender and less fatty, yes we are that pedantic!), British lamb (no mutton is used in any of our dishes) and finally, our fruit and vegetables are hand picked by us every week from Spitalfields Market (we go up there at 1am to pick the freshest!).
Not only do we aim to provide the prime curry in the area, we also allow a "Bring your own Alcohol" policy with NO CORKAGE CHARGE, thus making dining with us one of the most economical as well.
Belvedere Tandoori is now in its 40th year of trading and has retained a loyal customer base, enchanted by its cuisine and passion for customer satisfaction. (please see our appraisals).
